As one of Government's larger regulators, the Regulatory Services Group of the Department aims to minimise harm and maximise benefits in three regulatory systems: anti-money laundering and countering financing terrorism, gambling, and digital safety. We are a responsive risk-based regulator that uses innovation and collaboration to maximise our impact to achieve outcomes for New Zealand communities.
We are looking for 2 data analyst or graduate data analysts to join the data analysis and insights team. Your role is focused on supporting the development and delivery of analysis and insights for the Regulatory Services Group. You will develop, maintain and improve systems and processes that support the analytical function and wider group to work efficiently and effectively together. You will also contribute to our regular data releases and help our colleagues understand their information, so they can make effective, data-driven regulatory decisions.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Analysis and research skills
- Experience or interest in working with numbers and analytical tools
- Excellent relationship management skills and communication skills including being comfortable conveying complex information to a wide audience, including at the senior level
- Knowledge or interest in learning about our regulatory and compliance functions.
