Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga sits within the Information and Knowledge Services branch Te Tāhuhu Iringa Kōrero, the Department’s epicentre of information management, culture, and heritage. Our branch is all about collecting, storing, and preserving important things that are precious to New Zealand.
Archives New Zealand is undertaking a transformational programme of work in support of the Archives 2057 Strategy. As part of this programme, the Digitisation Team is responsible for the delivery of systematic digitisation of our archive holdings in order to make them available to our customers online anywhere any time and to preserve the original paper record. We are hiring a full-time Senior Archivist/Archives Advisor for the Digitisation Team who will report to the Team Leader – Digitisation and support the team’s Archivist/Archives Advisor to scope future digitisation projects and recognise required modifications to the basic digitisation workflow.

- Working closely with documentary heritage
Responsibilities of the Senior Archivist/Archives Advisor include but are not limited to the oversight of listing work conducted within the team, the delivery of quality assurance, the procurement and purchasing of equipment and consumables, and liaising with vendors and service providers.
